1. Booking and Confirmation
All bookings made through the Touch by Thato website or via direct contact are subject to availability. A booking is only confirmed once a 50% non-refundable deposit has been received and a signed consent form has been submitted for each applicable service category.
Touch by Thato reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
2. Deposit and Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service fee is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the appointment and may be paid by cash, card, or EFT.
Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances, including where the client cancels, reschedules, or is unable to attend. By paying the deposit you are confirming your agreement to these terms.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will result in the full forfeiture of the deposit. A new deposit will be required before a new appointment can be booked.
If the client is more than 30 minutes late without prior communication, the appointment may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
4. Late Fees and Surcharges
A late fee of R100 is charged for the first 15 minutes of delay. Additional time overruns due to client delays are charged at the applicable service rate. Last-minute bookings (made less than 24 hours in advance) attract a surcharge of R150. Early morning or late evening call-outs may attract additional surcharges from R200, as detailed in the consent forms.
5. Travel and Call-Out Fees
A flat travel fee of R500 applies to all call-out bookings within a 20km radius of the relevant branch. For distances beyond 20km, an additional R5 per kilometre applies. Travel that requires overnight accommodation is subject to additional costs, which will be communicated in advance.
6. Liability
Clients are required to disclose all known allergies, skin conditions, medical conditions, and current medications prior to any service. Touch by Thato, its founder, and its team members accept no liability for adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed conditions or allergies. By signing the consent form for each service, the client acknowledges and accepts this responsibility.
7. Use of Images
Touch by Thato may use photographs taken during or after appointments for marketing purposes, including on social media and the website, unless the client has specifically opted out in writing prior to the appointment. Opt-out requests must be communicated before the appointment begins.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Touch by Thato website, including text, images, and design, is the property of Touch by Thato and may not be reproduced without written permission.
9. Changes to Terms
Touch by Thato reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on the website and take effect immediately upon publication.
